Central Teacher Eligibility Test result Out
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday
released the results of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test ( CTET) conducted
in September.
According to a release from the CBSE, 11.95% of those who sat for paper 1 of the
test have cleared it while 2.8% of those who wrote paper 2 passed.
More than 2.8 lakh candidates appeared for paper 1 of the test. Clearing paper 1
is mandatory to become a teacher in classes from 1 to 5 under the Right To
Education Act 2009.
As many as 4.59 lakh candidates sat for paper 2 of the test. Clearing paper 2 is a must to teach in classes from 6 to 8.
