Q1 Fixtures are the schedule, fixed for the matches. What is a Bye? 1
Ans. A Bye in a fixture means that the team which gets a bye is exempted from playing the first round and enters the second round directly.

Byes are given in the first round by which the number of teams playing in the 2nd round is reduced to power of two.

Ans. Renewable resources are those natural resources which can be used repeatedly, since it is replaced naturally/ replenished over time by some natural power eg. Sunlight, water, air etc.

Ans. Animals sources – Ghee, Butter, Curd, Fish Oil, Milk, Meat, Egg Vegetable Sources- Soyabean, Olive, Mustard, Coconut, Groundnut, etc.

Ans. Lordosis is a postural deformity of the spine. In this deformity, the spine curvature is increased inward in the lumbar region.

Rationale
 
The Latin maxim ignorantia juris neminem excusat, in plain, which reads as ‘ignorance of law is not an excuse’. This is one of the age old principles followed under the Roman Law and even in our own Common Law. If every person of discretion is to know what law is, an effort to teach law outside the remit of a
professional law school may have significant social benefits. Law is a subject which has been traditionally taught in Universities for almost eight centuries. Learning law outside the settings of a professional law school has a number of perceived benefits. Some familiarity with law enhances one’s understanding of public affairs and an awareness of one’s entitlements and duties as a citizen. It may also be helpful in eliminating some of the mistaken notions about law and some of the inveterate prejudices about law, lawyers and the legal system as such. Another advantage is that an understanding of law can undoubtedly encourage talented students to pursue a career in law – an objective which is laudable in its own right. The pitfalls of learning law outside the settings of a professional school are rooted in two key assumptions:
(1) law is too vast and complicated to be taught in a non-professional setting;
(2) the lack of professional trainers and experienced teachers could lead to incorrect appreciation and understanding of law. If an understanding of law is mis-formed or ill-formed as some academicians think, it may require greater efforts to unlearn whatever was learnt earlier. Both these criticisms have attracted detailed scrutiny, but at least a few countries have introduced law at the High School level. The experience of countries that have introduced law has been by and large optimistic. The Central Board of Secondary Education is introducing Legal Studies at the Class XI level. The proposal is to introduce one module in Class XI and a second module in Class XII.
 
Objectives
  • To provide a background of the evolution of the Indian legal system in a short and concise form.
  • To focus on the applicability of justice, equity and good conscience and more importantly the development of Common Law system in India.
  • To provide exposure on various systems of law such as Common Law, Civil Law, Hindu Law, Islamic Law etc.
  • To develop an understanding of the essential features of the Indian Constitution, including the role and importance of Fundamental Rights, Separation of Powers, Structure and operation of Courts, concept of precedent in judicial functioning, the process of legislation, basic principles of statutory interpretation, etc
  • To deal with principles of practical utility such as the concept of Rule of Law, principles of justice, differences between criminal and civil cases, the concept of crime and the fundamental theories of punishment, rights available to the accused at various stages of the criminal investigative process, or the key components of Human Rights, etc.
  • To understand the fundamental concept and subject matter of property, contract and tort.
  • To understand the rudimentary aspects of contract law such as formation of contract, terms and conditions, discharge, etc.
  • To enables students to form an understanding of rights and duties and various categories of liability principles which form the bedrock for an understanding of Law.

१. (अ) स्थिर-विद्युतिकी में गाउस का प्रमेय अभिव्यक्त कीजिए । इस प्रमेय का प्रयोग करके एक लम्बे, सीधे, आवेशित चालक के निकट किसी बिन्दु पर विद्युत्-क्षेत्र तीव्रता ज्ञात करने के लिए सूत्र की स्थापना कीजिए । ५
अथवा
एक बहुत ब‹डी समतल चादर पर विद्युत् आवेश का घनत्व ५ ucm–2 है । उससे २५ सेी की दूरी पर विद्युत्-क्षेत्र तीव्रता की गणना कीजिए ।
(ब) चुम्बकीय क्षेत्र में गतिमान बिन्दु आवेश पर लगा बल किन-किन घटकों पर निर्भर करता है ? बल तथा इन घटकों के बीच का सूत्र लिखिए । इस बल की दिशा निर्धारित करने के लिए प्रयोग में लाए जाने वाले नियम का नाम लिखिए । ५

(स) स्वच्छ परिपथ आरेख की सहायता से, एक p-n-p ट्राँजस्टर की कार्यविधि की, जंक्शन पर उपयुक्त बायस लगाए जाने पर विद्युत् आवेशों के गतिमान होने को प्रदर्शित करते हुए, व्याख्या कीजिए । ५
 
(a) State Gauss’ theorem in electrostatics. Apply it to establish a relation for the electric field strength at a point near a long,
straight, charged conductor.

A very large plane sheet has a charge density of 5 ucm–2. Calculate the electric field strength at a distance of 25 cm from it.

१. एक सम षड्भुजाकार पिरामिड जिसकी आधार भुजा ३० मिमी तथा अक्ष की लम्बाई ७४ मिमी है, एच.पी. पर अपने आधार पर इस प्रकार से टिका है कि इसकी एक आधार भुजा वी.पी. के समानान्तर है । इसे एक सेक्शन प्लेन, जो एच.पी. पर लम्बवत् है तथा वी.पी. से ३५ पर झुका है, इस पिरामिड को इसके अक्ष से गुμजरते हुए काटता है । इसका छेदित सम्मुख दृश्य तथा ऊपरी दृश्य बनाइए । १५
A regular hexagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and axis 74 mm long, is resting on its base on HP in such a way that one side of the base is parallel to VP. It is cut by a section plane, perpendicular to HP and inclined at 35 to VP and passes through the axis of the pyramid. Draw its sectional front view and top view.

२. एक पंचभुजाक ार प्रिμज्म, जिसकी आधार भुजा ४० मिमी तथा ऊँचाई ८० मिमी है, एच.पी. पर अपने आधार पर टिका है । इसकी एक आधार भुजा वी.पी. के समानान्तर और प्रेक्षक के समीप है । इसे एक सेक्शन प्लेन, जो वी.पी. पर लम्बवत् है और एच.पी. पर ३५ से झुका है, प्रिμज्म के अक्ष पर एक बिन्दु जो आधार से ३० मिमी ऊपर है, गुμजरते हुए काटता है । कटे हुए प्रिμज्म की पाश्र्वीय (लेटरल) सतहों का विस्तार चित्र बनाइए । १५
A pentagonal prism of base side 40 mm and height 80 mm is resting onits base on HP. Its one base side is parallel to VP and nearest to the observer. It is cut by a section plane, perpendicular to VP and inclined at 35 to HP and passes through a point on the axis, 30 mm above the base of the prism. Draw the development of the lateral surfaces of the truncated prism.
