Eligibility Requirement:
What is State of Eligibility?
It is the state from where the candidate has passed the qualifying examination.
A candidate has passed the 10+2 examination from State 1 (For example: Andhra Pradesh) and by mistake State of Eligibility is recorded as State 2 (For example: ArunachalaPradesh) in the Rank Card / Admit Card. Can the candidate change his/her state of eligibility?
Yes, the candidate can change his/her State of Eligibility data to the correct State at the time of online registration as per his original documents.
Remark “NOT PERMITTED TO FILLUP CHOICES ONLINE FOR COUNSELLING” is written on the Score Card. Can such candidate do online registration?
No, such candidates are not permitted to do online registration.
NRI has qualified in AIEEE. What will be the state of eligibility?
The state of permanent address as given in the passport will be considered as the state of eligibility. At the time of Remote Reporting at the designated admission centre he/ she will be required to produce Passport in original.
Final Result / Marksheet of qualifying examination (QE) is not available due to delay in declaration of result, is he/she allowed?
OR
If a candidate is appearing in supplementary qualifying examination, is he / she allowed?
Provisionally allowed, if proof of appearing in qualifying examination (QE) is submitted. Such candidates will be admitted provisionally, subject to the submission of proof of passing in qualifying examination latest by September 15, 2008 at the allotted institution. In case they fail to comply with this deadline for providing the proof of passing in the qualifying examination, their admission shall stand cancelled.
Original marksheet / document are deposited somewhere else, and a certificate regarding this is available. Can such candidates be allowed for counselling?
Not Allowed.
What are the restrictions in branch / institution?
Physically Challenged candidates are not allowed in Mining Engineering*. Admission in GKV Haridwar is restricted to male candidates only. In addition, BIT, Mesra, Ranchi, Patna, Deoghar and other Institutions have age restrictions.
*Female Candidates are also not allowed in Mining Engineering in some of the institutions.

Score Card:
I have not received my AIEEE -2009 score card.
Please contact CBSE, Delhi for this purpose. You may download the Score Card from the website http://www.cbseresults.nic.in.
How the seats will be allotted?
All the seats including Home state and Category will be allotted on the basis of All India overall Rank only. The remaining ranks are for statistical information
What are category codes used on the score card?
The following are category codes used on the score card
GEN General category which includes all the categories and subcategories
OP Unreserved General Category
OPPH Physically Challenged General Category
OBC Other Backward Class
OBCPH Physically Challenged Other Backward Class
SC Scheduled Caste
SCPH Physically Challenged Scheduled Caste
ST Scheduled Tribe
STPH Physically Challenged Scheduled Tribe
Category Rules:
As per AIEEE 2009 record, category is OPEN. Can the category be changed from OPEN to SC/ST/OBC?
No, It can not be changed. The candidates as per AIEEE 2009 records shall only be considered as SC/ST/OBC for Counselling.
Is category change possible during online registration?
Change of Category is possible from SC/ST/OBC to OP at the time of online registration, but change of category from OP to reserved category is not allowed.
If the candidate fails to submit category certificate or category given by the candidate is found to be wrong at the time of verification of certificates at remote reporting, his / her provisional allotment of the seat shall automatically stands cancelled.
However, the candidate will be allowed for the next rounds of seat allotment for the available vacant seats only, after obtaining an undertaking from the candidate and updating his/her category based on the original certificates
Is there any reservation for sub-category?
Reservation for sub-category is only for Physically Challenged. There is no reservation for any other sub-category.
Physically Challenged
Who is a physically challenged candidate?
For physically challenged category a minimum of 40% disability is required subject to the condition that the candidate is capable of carrying out all activities related to theory and practical work as applicable to B.E. / B.Tech / B. Arch. courses without any special concessions and exemptions. Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2009 will only be accepted. Medical board of CCB will examine the candidate to verify the claim of handicap at the Counselling Centre.
Online Registration:
If a candidate forgets his/her password, how to get a new password?
Whenever a candidate forgets his/her password he/she has to use the additional information given by him/her at the time of online registration to get a new password
Can the candidate change his/her password?
Yes. The candidate can change his/her password.
Can a candidate register and fill the choices after June 24, 2009?
Yes. Candidates can register, fill and lock their choices during June 25, 2009 to June 28, 2009 also. However, indicative seat allotment will not be done.
Is there any compulsion to register online only at designated admission centre?
There is no compulsion. The eligible candidate can register ONLINE from any place of their convenience. Candidates may seek guidance, help and do their registration and choice filling at all the participating institutions/Admission Centres (Help Centres).
Choice filling and Locking:
How many choices can a candidate give?
A candidate can give as many number of choices in order of preference as he/she wishes from the list of his/her available choices.
What is locking?
Locking is the process of final submission of choices.
If a candidate doesn’t lock his/her choices, will they be processed for seat allotment?
Without locking of the choices, they will not be processed for seat allotment.
Can the candidate modify the choices after locking?
No. After locking of the choices, the candidate can not modify his/her choices under any circumstances.
What is indicative allotment?
The indicative seat allotment will facilitate the selection of the most appropriate discipline, institution and branch at candidate’s rank and in their categories for finalization of their choices for locking.
Fee Rules:
Whether a Candidate has to submit two separate Demand Drafts for Engineering and Architecture Streams?
No. The candidates who have been selected both in Engineering and Architecture disciplines will be given option to retain any one allotment of their choice. The candidates will be required to withdraw the other allotment. Accordingly, the candidate has to submit DDs for Rs. 25,0000/- only (one DD for Rs. 24,000/- and the other for Rs.1,000/- drawn in favour of Chairman CCB -2009 payable at “Warangal” drawn on any Nationalized Bank only)
What are the Seat Cancellation and Fee refund rules?
After taking admission, if a candidate wants, he/she can cancel his/her seat. The refund rules have been made as per the guidelines of AICTE and MHRD. The refund rules are as follows:
(i) If a candidate has not reported at the allotted institute and cancels his/her admission on or before July 24, 2009, the candidate has to be physically present at the same designated admission center where remote reporting was done and a seat cancellation application has to be submitted to claim the refund of Rs.24,000/-
(ii) If a candidate, who took provisional admission at the admission centre, fails to report at the allotted institute on or before July 24, 2009, his/her admission shall stand cancelled. A DD for an amount Rs. 24,000/- will be sent to the candidate to the address given by the candidate during online registration.
(iii)If a candidate cancels his/her admission after reporting at the allotted institution, the candidate has to approach the allotted institute for refund. The refund will be made as per the rules of the allotted institute.
Can a candidate change institution / branch immediately after allotment?
Not allowed. After taking Provisional Admission against an allotted seat, the candidate can give his/her willingness to consider the list of choices given by him/her at the time of choice filling to get a higher preferred choice in the next rounds of seat allotment against the vacant seats.
Can a candidate be allowed after scheduled date for remote reporting?
Not allowed, If the candidate doesn’t report at any one of the designated admission centres for provisional admission, his/her allotment shall stand cancelled
Can a candidate be permitted if he/she brings part of the required documents?
No. Not allowed. The candidate has to bring all the required documents in original along with two demand drafts one for Rs. 24,000/- and the other for Rs1,000/-. drawn in favour of “Chairman, C C B – 2009”, payable at Warangal drawn on any Nationalized Bank only).
What is Initial fee? How is this adjusted?
Every candidate who is taking Provisional Admission against an allotted seat has to deposit Rs. 25,000/- as initial fee. This will be adjusted towards the total fee payable by the candidate at the allotted institute
