Eligibility

BTech
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects, and Chemistry/Biology as one of the optional subjects.

BE
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects, and Computer Science/Biology as one of the optional subjects.

B Arch
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, with Mathematics as one of the main subjects. Applicants are given admission on basis of marks secured at National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) and of the qualifying examination. Candidate having 10+3 diploma in any discipline, recognized by Central/State Government, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible.

Candidates with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, and with Mathematics as one of the main subject are allowed to apply. In case of the SC/ST and OBC candidates, 45% marks in aggregate are sufficient.

Examination Pattern

RPET exam has a test paper in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and is comprised of multiple choice objective type questions. Medium of examination is English as well as Hindi. There is no system of negative marking for any wrong answer attempted by the candidates. The short listed applicants are called for counseling.

Reservations of the seats are done in accordance with the directives of the Government of Rajasthan. Reservation accorded is 16% for SC, 12% for ST, 21% for OBC, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 25% for Women and 3% for dependents of Defence Killed / Ex-Servicemen and 5% for the Kashmiri Migrant candidates. A certain percentage of seats are reserved under the domicile criteria for the candidates belonging to the state of Rajasthan.

Syllabus

  • Candidates appearing for the RPET must prepare in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
