INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM YOUNG MALE ASPIRANTS FOR SELECTION TEST IN MARCH 2011 TO JOIN AS A SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER IN GROUP 'X' (EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR) TRADE

Indian Air Force invites applications from unmarried/married male Indian citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in March 2011 to join as a Senior Non- Commission Officer in Group ‘X’ (Education Instructor) trade. THE SELECTION TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS OFFICERS/PILOTS/NAVIGATORS. Note: Married candidates above 22 years of age on the date of Enrolment in Indian Air Force are also eligible.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

2. EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
(a) Graduate in Arts, Commerce or Science with B.Ed Degree / 02 years teaching experience in a Government Recognised School/College. Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation as well as B.Ed.

OR

(b) Passed M.A(English)/M.Sc in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science/ MCA with B.Ed Degree / 02 years teaching experience in a Government Recognised School/College

Note: Exact aggregate percentage of marks upto first place of decimal for all subjects as mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Education Qualifications (For example, 49.9% should NOT be rounded off to 50%.

  • President, Central Airmen Selection Board reserves the right to shortlist the applications on the basis of available vacancies and number of eligible applicants.

4. AGE LIMIT.

(a) Candidates with Graduation with B.Ed : Born between 01 JANUARY 1987 to 31 MAY 1994 (both days inclusive).
(b) Candidates with M.A/M.Sc/MCA with B.Ed : Born between 01 JANUARY 1984 to 31 MAY 1994 (both days inclusive)

Note: Married candidates above 22 years of age on the date of Enrolment in Indian Air Force are also eligible.

Pay & Allowances:

During training, a stipend of Rs. 5,700/-pm will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments including Dearness Allowance (DA) at the minimum of scale of pay will be Rs. 21,590/-pm (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs 39,411/- pm (approximately) depending upon the rank attained. In addition, perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical Facilities, Accommodation, Leave Travel Concession (LTC) etc. are also provided as per the existing rules.

Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO). Opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer also exist for those airmen who qualify the prescribed examinations, later during their service career.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

  • Written Test.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
  • Interview
  • MEDICAL EXAMINATION

How to Apply:

APPLICATION SHOULD BE IN A4 SIZE PAPER ONLY. Nonstandard application formats will be rejected. The following are to be sent along with the application:-
(a) Three copies of unattested recent (taken on or after 08 December 2010) passport size COLOUR PHOTOGRAPH (front portrait without headgear except for Sikhs), ONE of which is to be pasted on the application form and the other two are to be stapled to the top left corner of the application form.
