Logistics Officer Recruitment at Indian Navy

Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Logistics Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jul 2010 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Eligibility:

Age: 19½ to 25 years (born between 02 Jul 1985 and 01 Jan 1991; both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification: A First Class Degree with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognised University in any of the following:

• B COM
• BA (Economics)
• MBA
• BBA
• BBM
• MCA
• BCA
• BSc
• B.Tech/BE(any discipline including civil engineering)
• B.Architecture
• Graduate Degree with Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Materials Management
• ICWA
• Chartered Accountancy

For Catering Officer(2 posts): Degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management

How to apply: Application should be on plain A4 size paper (typed or handwritten) in the prescribed format duly completed in all respects with superscription on the envelope “SSC- LOGISTICS CADRE – JUL 2010 COURSE, Educational Qualification ....Aggregate Percentage...%” and sent to Post Bag No. 05, GPO, New Delhi-110001.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled during Jan to Jun 2010 at Bangalore, Bhopal or Coimbatore.

Duties of the Logistics officer and Catering officer are as follows:
(a) Logistics Officer. As a Logistics Officer you will be dealing with the Logistics aspects of Men & Material for the Warships.
(b) Catering Officer. Two vacancies will be reserved for graduates in Hotel/Hospitality Management, who would be employed in the Navy ONLY for jobs directly related to their specialization.

On successful completion of training candidate will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant.
