:: Assertion and Reasoning ::

In each of the following questions, a statement of Assertion (A) is given followed by a corresponding statement of Reason (R) just below it. Of the statement mark the correct answer.

(1) Both A and R are true and R is the correct explanation of A
(2) Both A and R are true and R is not the correct explanation of A
(3) A is true and R is false
(4) A is false and R is true

A:- Torque on a current carrying coil is maximum, when coil is suspended in a radial magnetic field, such that the plane of the coil is parallel to the external magnetic field.

R:- Torque depends upon the magnitude of the applied magnetic field, and the orientation of the magnetic field, with the plane of the coil.
