:: Assertion and Reasoning ::

In each of the following questions, a statement of Assertion (A) is given followed by a corresponding statement of Reason (R) just below it. Of the statement mark the correct answer.

(1) Both A and R are true and R is the correct explanation of A
(2) Both A and R are true and R is not the correct explanation of A
(3) A is true and R is false
(4) A is false and R is true

(A): A torch bulb give same light if operated on AC of same voltage and current as DC.

(R): Heating effect is common to both AC and DC.
