About 50% questions in Mathematics and Physics were fairly simple or straightforward requiring direct use of formula/result or law. For Chemistry this number was about 30%. About 60% of the Chemistry part comprised of questions that either were not direct or required a little time to arrive at the answer. Download here..
The standard of the question paper was very m uch in the expected lines of last years’ paper. There were few standard questions, which were not difficult for the students to answer, and a smart student could answer those sections straightaway and save time to spend on other questions, which were tim e consum ing. The whole paper consisted of som e speed ‘breakers’ as well which were evenly distributed in all the sections. The chemistry section was supposed to be the toughest one. Download here..
All the questions were not of equal weight ageThere were 10 questions each of which carries 11/2 marks, 10 questions with 41/2 marks each and remaining 55 questions carrying 3 marks for each question. This was the case in all the 3 sections and of course the negative marks for each wrong answer would be 1/3rd of the marks allocated for that question. Download here..
AIEEE 2004 was more or less at same difficulty level as compared to the paper of last year. However, the mathematics section was slightly lengthier as compared to other sections. As per our analysis and discussions with our students, the Physics section was easier of all the three sections, and in Chemistry section, organic part was a bit confusing. Download here..
