Reg: Providing of Copy of the Evaluated Answer Book

Sir/Madam,

This has reference to this office letter no. COORD/EC-25.1/2012/1661-68 of 24.2.2012 communicating the resolution of the Examination Committee and approval of the Governing Body regarding providing of photocopy of evaluated answer book to the candidates examined. It has been decided that the photocopy of the evaluated answer book may be provided to those requesting for it.

All the Regional Officers are requested to ensure the following:

1. The application is received w.e.f. 21st day of the declaration of result of Comptt./Improvement of Performance examination held in July i.e. 23rd August 2012 to 27th August, 2012 for class XII and 3RD September, to 7th September, 2012 for class X online only. The confirmation page alongwith the fee and other enclosures must reach by 3RD September & 14TH September for classes XII and X respectively.

2. An undertaking may be taken from the candidate applying for photocopy of the evaluated answer book as per the format enclosed along with photocopy of the admit card, issued by C.B.S.E.

3. Applications on behalf of the candidate as also incomplete applications may be summarily rejected without any further reference.

4. Regional Offices may be requested to tally the handwriting of the candidate between the confirmation page and the answer book.

5. Before dispatching the photocopy of the evaluated answer book, the process of verification of marks/grades be resorted to meticulously.

6. Photocopy of the evaluated answer book may be provided after blocking all information relating to the identity of the Examiner/Evaluator/any other official associated with the examination process. In respect of Class X answer book, the mark awarded therein also may be blocked.

7. Regional Officers should endeavour to send photocopy of the answer book at the earliest but not later than 30 days from the date of receipt of the undertaking BY SPEED POST ONLY.

8. Communication in writing from the candidate be accepted only for totalling errors or unevaluated portions not later than 10 days from the date of receipt of the copy of the Evaluated answer book by the candidate.

9. The fee for providing of photocopy of the Answers book will be Rs.500/-per subject.

10. Wherever, there is a decrease of marks the answer book may be provided and the applicant intimated that though marks are decreasing yet keeping in view your larger interest the Board is not decreasing the marks.

In this context a Notification No. CE/EXAM/2012 dated 21.08.2012 has been hoisted on Board’s website for information of general public. A copy of the same is also sent herewith. You may also go through the same and take necessary action in the matter.

Further, the procedure to be followed in the matter of online of application is also sent herewith.

In addition to the above, the Regional Officers are also requested to ensure availability of adequate staff, photocopying facilities etc. required for providing of photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s), as per the approval granted by the Competent Authority vide order dated 17.3.2012 on the Note moved by RO(D) and copy sent to all the Regional Offices.
