Central Board Of Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE) has invited applications for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2010 (AIPMT 2010) for admission to MBBS/BBDS course under 15 percent merit positions in medical/dental colleges.
The Preliminary exam for AIPMT 2010 will be held on April 3, 2010 while final test will be held on May 16, 2010. Bothe exams will be objective type.
The students can apply offline and online. Last date for apply to AIPMT 2010 is December 4, 2009.
The Information Bulletin and Application Form will be available at the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE between Oct 20, 2009 to Nov 27,-2009.
The application form will cost Rs 800 to Gen/OBC candidates while SC/St candidates will have to pay Rs 450 for the same.
Students can also receive the Information Bulletin and Application Form from post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12” x 10”. The requests much reach to the Board on or before Nov 18, 2009.
IMPORTANT
- Candidates must purchase the Application Forms from the designated branches of Canara Bank or Regional Offices of CBSE only. Application Form obtained from an unauthorized source will be REJECTED.
- Candidates are advised NOT to dispatch Application Form by Courier.
- Applications received after last date i.e. 04-12-2009 will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

Indian Institute of Technology is also conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) on 11th April, 2010 hence, CBSE has decided to reschedule the conduct of AIPMT Examination to avoid the difficulties to such candidates who wish to appear in both the examinations. The revised schedule of the AIPMT 2010 would be as follows:
AIPMT Preliminary Examination :- 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday) 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

AIPMT Final Examination :- 16th May, 2010(Sunday)

Paper-1: 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon

Paper-2: 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM
Note: The pattern of AIPMT 2010 for both Preliminary and Final
Stage Examinations would be OBJECTIVE.
Preliminary Examination: The duration of paper would be 3 hours.The Preliminary
Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions
(four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology
(Botany Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet
using Ball Point Pen only.
Final Examination: (Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination)
The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2
hours duration. Paper-1 would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and
Paper-2 would contain questions from Biology (Botany Zoology).The Final
Examination will have conventional (non-objective) type of questions to be
answered in the Answer Book supplied.
AIPMT 2010 Language of the Question Papers : Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or
in Hindi. This option should be exercised while filling in the Application Form.
It cannot be changed later.
AIPMT 2010 Application Form: A candidate can apply for the All India
Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination in the following two ways:
AIPMT 2010 Offline: Offline submission of Application Form may be made on the
prescribed Application Form. The Information Bulletin and Application Form
costing Rs.600/- for General Category candidates and Rs.200/- for SC/ST
candidates inclusive of examination fee can be obtained against Cash Payment
from any of the Branches of Canara Bank/ Regional Offices of the CBSE between
4th Week of October 2009 to 1st Week of December 2009. The details of Banks can
also be seen in our Admission Notice which is available on CBSE website http://www.cbse.nic.in.
AIPMT 2010 Online: Online submission of application may be made by accessing the
Board’s website http://www.cbse.nic.in from 4th Week of October 2009 to 1st Week
of December 2009.
Candidates are required to take a print of the Online
Application after successful submission of data. The print out of the computer
generated application, complete in all respect as applicable for Offline
submission should be sent by Speed Post/Registered Post only to,

By Post: The AIPMT Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with a Bank Draft/Demand Draft for Rs.450/- for General Category and Rs.250/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12″ x 10″.
