National Conference on 'Re-thinking School Reforms - Opportunities and Challenges' 09-11th December 2009 at Gurgaon (Haryana)

The conference theme is ‘Re-thinking School Reforms – Opportunities and Challenges.’ The sub themes are very timely at this juncture.

1. CCE – Paradigm shift from ‘Teaching to the Test to Holistic Education’.
2. Examination reforms and continuous and comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
3. Assessment for learning.
4. Objective assessment of learners for CCE.
5. Holistic Assessment.
6. Changing classroom assessment.
7. Building capacity for enhancing classroom assessment.
8. Contextualizing pedagogy to CCE.
9. CCE and Societal Change.
10. Engaging parents and community for CCE.
11. Embedding technology in Assessment.

The objective of this programme is to explore the dynamic tension that underpin the educational leaders – meeting current realities while shaping and influencing the educational reforms and policies. The keynote presenters are exceptional in their respective fields and will stimulate us with their powerful professional engagement.

A team of artists (painter, photographer, writer) will work alongside us, as we discuss and respond to the keynote presentations and professional conversations. On the final day of the conference, the educators will take the conference themes to another level as they reflect on our current educational and social contexts and develop a blueprint of the educational reforms.
