About us: In August 1984, Bharat Ratna Shri. C.Subramanian along with Prof. P.S.Mani Sundaram, the Vice-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University chaired a Meeting of leading academicians and Industrialists and an idea was born. Their dream was to create an Academy that would be

With this vision in mind, a partnership was signed with BHEL to create the country’s first ever Management Institute that would be housed inside an industrial giant. Thus was born Bharathidasan Institute of Management - School of Excellence. BIM offers one of the most coveted MBA programmes in India. Entry to this course is regulated through a rigorous selection process. BIM has an annual intake of 120 students. BIM enjoys a unique symbiotic relationship with BHEL in terms of academic inputs and continuous industry exposure. BIM’s excellence over the years had led the Honourable President Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to choose BIM as an ideal training ground for DRDO Scientists

About Us: Anna Institute of management (AIM) is registered as a society under Societies Registration Act,1975.It is sponcered by the Government of Tamil Nadu.It started functioning from 1981.

The main objects of AIM are :
-To impart knowledge and skills to prospective and practising managers and administrators.
-To assist in the application of management concepts and techniques through consultancy and extension services.
-To disseminate knowledge on management through seminars,conferences,journals,etc.
-To carry out research with a view to developing knowledge in management relavent to Indian conditions.
-In their G.O. on Training Policy, Government have declared AIM as nodal institution for training in the State as also training consultant to Government, our activities include:
-Training for the officers of the Government of India, Tamil Nadu and other States and also Public Sector Undertakings.
-Govt. of India sanction all India level training programmes for IAS officer. Besides, Govt. of India are also funding quite a few programmes every year for AIM.
-Consultancy both for Indian and International bodies like State Finance Commission, Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) etc.
-Tamil Nadu Govt., and Union Agriculture Ministry have recognised AIM as the nodal Institute for training and research in Disaster Management.
-Leading State Government Public Sector Organisations like Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation, etc., are our Donor Members.

After 1947, the Government of independent India focused on the development of indigenous science and technology. As a technology base was being created, it became clear that the country needed to simultaneously augment management talent and resources. A response that lead to the creation of the Indian Institutes of Management in the country. The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973. About Us: In just four decades IIMA has evolved from being India’s premier management institute to a notable international school of management.  It all started with Dr Vikram Sarabhai and a few other public spirited industrialists realizing that agriculture, education, health, transportation, population control, energy, and public administration were all vital elements in a growing society and that it was necessary to link these meaningfully with industry. The result was the creation of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1961 as an autonomous body with the active collaboration of the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, and industry. It was evident that to have a vision was not enough. Effective governance and quality education were seen as critical aspects. From the very start the founders introduced the concept of faculty governance: all members of the faculty play an important role in administering the diverse academic and non-academic activities of the Institute.
