CBSE chairman says CCE is bearing fruits
In his annual New Year letter to all affiliated schools, CBSE
chairman Vineet Joshi urged schools to become "inclusive" in terms of
infrastructure and strategy. Joshi also lauded the Continuous and Comprehensive
Evaluation (CCE) policy introduced during his tenure, saying that it is "bearing
fruits". The chairman wrote, "The first batch of students who have undergone CCE
appeared in their std XII examinations and their performance was markedly better
than the previous batches".
The annual letter by Joshi is clearly the most awaited one by all affiliated
schools as it is here that schools get an idea about what the central board is
planning for the year ahead. It is a mix of previous year's assessment along
with a glimpse of the road map for the year ahead. Since, it is the only time
CBSE chairman writes to all schools on various topics, this annual letter
assumes greater importance.
