The CBSE will introduce the online All India Entrance Examination for Engineering (AIEEE) in 22 cities from next year. No pen/paper exercise will be allowed in these 22 Centres. Successful pilot tests, which was conducted last year, has led to this initiative. Also, candidates are being offered a flexible schedule of examination.

The test will be conducted from May 7 to 25, and the pen/paper test will be held on April 29, 2012, in 65 centres. The examinees, who will appear in the online test will be given a concession, between Rs150 and Rs300, in examination fees.
