FDDI or Footwear Design and Development Institute is a premier academic and training institution. It was established in 1986 with the clear goal of developing and growing the Footwear & Product, Leather Products, Retail and Fashion Merchandise and Fashion Design sectors in India. FDDI Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate who has passed –

• 10+2, in any stream, from any recognized Board; or
• any School or Board or University examination in India or foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system; or
• School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects; or
• All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved three –years full-time Diploma after Class X offered by the Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory

• A candidate whose result of any of the above-mentioned exams is yet to be published is also eligible to apply given that they can produce the required certificate by 30th September 2021.
• The age limit for the Bachelor’s programme shall be 25 years as of the 1st July 2021.

Admission Process

• FDDI Online Registration Form available on the website is to be filled in by candidates as per the instructions mentioned.
• All mentioned documents are to be scanned and uploaded at the time of Registration.
• Online payment of Rs. 600/- (General/OBC Non-Creamy/GEN-EWS Category) & Rs. 300/- (SC/ST/PWD Category) is to be made per registration. Payment can be made through credit cards/debit cards/internet banking. Any transaction fee charged on the banking page will be paid for by the candidate.
• A Paper-Based Test (PBT) for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes or AIST will be conducted at 31 cities across India.
• Admission will be granted strictly based on rank on the merit-list and candidate’s preference. Counseling will be held to determine the same.
• Once a seat is allotted, a candidate needs to pay an amount of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of counseling/admission to reserve the seat. In this, ₹10,000/- is the Non-Refundable Registration Fee, and ₹15,000/- is the Advance Fee to be adjusted against the course fee later.
• 10% of seats are reserved for NRI candidates. All procedure for admission remains the same except they pay twice the tuition fee for Noida and Hyderabad campuses and 50% more for the others.
