Eligibility
The event is open to the students of classes 2 to 12 and registrations are received from the schools in the prescribed pro-forma. Registration sheet for the school / students and the information booklet are posted to the schools all over India.

The National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) seeks to promote awareness about computers and computer education by supplementing the learning of subjects of state boards and national boards including CBSE, ICSE and NIOS. NCO enables students to understand the latest technologies in a fast changing world of computers and makes the school/institution aware of the concept of SMART school of Ministry of Human Resource Development, where the emphasis is not only on imparting IT education but also on development and use of computer skills which are indispensable in the present millennium.Any Student of classes 2nd to 12th are eligible to appear for the NCO. The syllabus of the NCO is the Computers and Mathematics syllabus as is prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE or various state boards.The details of syllabus can be found in the website. It varies from class to class.Minimum of 50 students need to be registered from each school for feasibility reasons. Students should be registered through the schools only. Individual registration by the student is not encouraged.

The National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) is conducted in two levels:
Level 1: The first level of the test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during the school hours.

Level 2: Online Examination at Reliance webstores Top 500 Students of level 1 qualify for the level 2 from each class. For the level 2, admit card containing all information regarding exam centre, date, timing, etc. is issued to the qualified students through their respective schools.
