"National Science Olympiad is a aptitude competition which encourages students to learn important subjects like Math's, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.

This exam estimates the talent in student at national level which is totally different from exams at school or regional level. Therefore NSO will give an idea to student where he stand in national level and also increase the self confidence in them.

The exam will also help to schools in determining where they are lacking in science education by analysing the scores there students scored in NSO. The Syllabus for Science and Mathematics this Olympiad is same as of CBSE, ICSE and other state boards. Results are announced within 7-8 weeks of the exam." 9th NCO will be conducted on September 10, 2009

12th NSO will be conducted on November 19, 2009

3rd IMO will be conducted on December 10, 2009
