The books issued by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be made more professional-oriented and stress will be given more towards the practical aspects of study. Many initiatives in this regard are being taken by the CBSE to meet the growing demand of professionalism in academic studies.

Ashok Ganguly, Chairman of the CBSE told reporters in Jaipur about the revolutionary ways of tending the study system in India towards professionalism. He was in the city to attend inter-school sports competition. He was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony.

"Professional courses related to film, media, fashion and health will be incorporated in the CBSE curriculum," he told reporters.

'The need of today is to make education system more professional and practical. The CBSE intends to take many initiatives to make the syllabus more professional, so that students can meet the demands of rapidly growing industrial sector in India,' he added.

'The CBSE is planning to sign MoU with some companies that will hire the talented CBSE students after the completion of their studies. That will provide employment opportunities to the desiring candidates,' he further added. "Activities of NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) will be promoted in the CBSE schools. It will give students an opportunity of all-round development of their personality," Ganguly told reporters.
