CBSE to award schools based on CCE criteria
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instituted two awards to
encourage schools across the country to implement the Continuous and

parents and training for teachers, format of report card, lesson planning, among
other factors.
CBSE chairmanVineet Joshi said: "Each CCE award will include a certificate and a
cash reward of Rs 21,000. The mentor award for principals will carry a
certificate and Rs 10,000 in cash. We have set up seven criteria for CCE and
four additional criteria for mentor awards based on which the winners will be
decided.''
The mentor award for principals will include all the criteria of CCE and
additional conditions of schools covered, kind of support given to the mentored
schools, report submitted to CBSE and feedback received from the mentored
