A differently-abled student Sumedha, who drew inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, scored an impressive 91.04% and wants to become either an “IAS officer or an economist”.

A student of Glorious Academy in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Modi, Sumedha lost movement in both her legs two years ago after an infection in the spine.

“I dream big. I can’t let anything take over them. What was destined had already happened. There is no use of looking back now. I would work hard to achieve my goal,” she said.

Verification of Marks/Grades/Photocopy of Answer Book/Re-evaluation for (Class XII) Examination 2016

Board has provisions of Verification of Marks, Obtaining of photocopy of evaluated answer book(s) and Re-evaluation. These processes have been interlinked viz. candidates applying for verification of marks will only be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book(s) and candidates applying for verification of marks and obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book(s) shall only be eligible to apply for re-evaluation in the identified subjects meaning thereby that no candidate will be permitted to make a request for providing of photocopy(ies)/re-evaluation without following the procedure of verification of marks. Therefore, the candidates are requested to take note of this information and be
careful while submitting application(s) accordingly.

The modalities are as under:

1. VERIFICATION OF MARKS

  • The fee is Rs. 300/- per subject
  • The period for applying online only is from 25.05.2016 (Wednesday) to 28.05.2016 (Saturday)
  • Payment will be received through gateway(credit/Debit card). Payment by e-challan and candidates applying from Outside India can make the payment by 31.5.2016(Tuesday)
  • No fee shall be received offline in any mode i.e. Postal Order/DD/Money Order/Cheque etc.
  • REQUEST FOR VERIFICAITON WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ONCE. ANOTHER CHANCE WILL NOT BE GIVEN.
  • The result of verification of marks will be uploaded on the Net. However in case a mistake is detected, a formal letter will also be sent by speed post.
  • the Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the candidate, consequent upon the delay in communication for reasons beyond control
  • NO REQUEST RECEIVED UNDER RTI FOR VERIFICAITON OF MARKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WIHOUT FEE.
  • INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.

2. APPLICATION FOR OBTAINING PHOTOCOPY OF THE EVALUATED ANSWER BOOK(S)

Only those candidates who have applied for verification of marks will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s) on remitting the requisite fee of  Rs.700/- per subject and the schedule for receipt of forms will be from 03.6.2016(Friday) to 06.6.2016(Monday). Payment through Echallan and candidates applying from Outside India can remit the fees by 07.6.2016(Tuesday)

The procedure is as under:

i) Only those candidates who have applied for verification of marks shall be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy(ies) of the evaluated answer-book(s). Applications will be received only online with payment through gateway/e-challan/DD alongwith required documents duly scanned

ii) candidate applying for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s) shall have to upload an undertaking on the prescribed format. The undertaking will have to be scanned and uploaded with the application

iii) application submitted on behalf of the candidate as also incomplete application will be summarily rejected and fees deposited shall be forfeited without any further reference

iv) photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s) would be provided after blocking all information relating to the identity of the Examiner/Evaluators/any other official associated with the examination process

v) photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be uploaded on the NET i.e CBSE’s Website

A student of DAV Public School, she scored 485 marks out of 500. “Dedication and willpower are key to my success. Whenever we do hard work, there will be results. My parents taught that to me,” she said. She plans to pursue Psychology or English honors in future.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET)

About:

As per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on 24.5.2016 on conduct of NEET, online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE (UG) TEST-II, 2016 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats

(a) He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(b) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on 31 st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be
relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Candidate must born on or between

(a) 01/01/87 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 01/01/92 to 01/01/2000 (Other Category)

(c) Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J & K

(i) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J & K are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically along with confirmation page for the record and to present during counselling. The draft self-declaration is as given in Appendix – III.
(ii) The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counselling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
(iii) Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J & K can appear in NEET – II for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune subject to the fulfilment of eligibility conditions.

Eligibility for seats under the control of States/Universities/Institutions/ AFMC

(a) He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(b) Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.

(c) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Qualifying Examination Codes

CODE : 01

A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2016 whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.
OR

CODE : 02

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study
comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

NOTE: where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre - professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges.

The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these
subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.
OR

CODE : 04

The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre- professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
OR

CODE : 05

The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio- technology with English at a level not less than a core course.

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

With a pass percentage of 88.58 per cent, girls once again outperformed boys in the CBSE Class XII Board examination, the results of which were declared on Saturday.

Boys recorded a pass percentage of 78.85 per cent.

Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School in Delhi has topped the exams, scoring 497 marks out of 500.

Girls have secured first top three positions.

"I relied on self study and followed NCERT books while preparing for exams," Sukriti Gupta said.

"You need to get your basics right and then the rest is not that hard to crack. I have been consistent throughout and that helped me to emerge as a topper. I did not expect this, though I was sure that I would do well. This is beyond my expectations," she said.
