Delhi boy tops KVPY Stage II exam in Delhi NCR with AIR 10
Simar Preet Singh Saluja, emerged as the Delhi NCR Topper in SA Segment (i.e.
Class 11 segment) with an All India Rank 10.
This Delhi boy tops in KVPY Stage II exam
Simar Preet Singh Saluja emerged as the Delhi NCR Topper in SA Segment (i.e.
Class 11 segment) with an All India Rank 10. Earlier Simarpreet became Delhi
State Topper in NTSE, Stage 1.
Number of students qualified:
Overall, 168 students from FIITJEE Delhi - NCR centres (both SA and SX
segment combined) have qualified in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY)
2016-17. These students have demonstrated exemplary scholastic brilliance
through their hard efforts and dedication.
About Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY):
The 'Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana' is an ongoing programme started by
the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage
students to take up research careers in the field of Science and Technology. The
KVPY programme is carried out to identify and encourage talented students with
aptitude for research. This programme strives to assist the students to realise
their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is tapped for
research and development in the country.
Thousands of class 10 and class 12 students from across India had appeared in
the exam. All students who have qualified in KVPY Stage II will be awarded the
fellowship which acts as an encouragement and motivation for them to pursue a
subject of their liking.
Generous scholarships are provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level) to the
selected students.

moment for all of us here at FIITJEE. This is the third consecutive year in
which we have produced "Delhi State Topper" in KVPY. Systematic coaching along
with focussed approach is vital for cracking these competitive titles. Student's

The KVPY written examination was conducted in November 2016 followed by an
interview in the month of February 2017 and the results were declared on March
31.
