Panu Sikyong Tulku was the son of Panu Thutop Narngval. After the death of his father he was consecrated as the tenth Panu of Sikkim, Mayellyang. Though the succession of Panu Sikyong Tulku was very short he introduced Lepcha language in Tibetan Boarding School at Gangtok in the Year 1913. He appointed Ren.Nurshing Lepcha of Pakyong, East Sikkim, as Lepcha Language teacher. He is remembered as the first Lepcha Language teacher in his mother land.

Once at a time when the living beings were created on earth. All the living beings convened a meeting. They decided to make roads to connect one side of the world to another side of the world. The birds, insects, animals, and also human beings agreed to the plan. Now they started making roads of their own on earth.
But the Tung-Jying [a small species of a mouse] did not turn up. He said instead, "I don't need any road to walk on." I will go through my own path. I also promise you, " If I come across your road I will give up my lifI e " .
