Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of NDA/NAVAL Academy Examination (II) 2009.

  1. The following are lists, in order of merit of 694 candidates, who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Written Examination held by Union Public Service Commission in August, 2009 and the Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 124th Course and Naval Academy 10+2 (Executive Branch) for the 44th Course commencing from 30th June, 2010.
  2. There are some common candidates in the three lists for Army/ Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. The total number of such candidates in the three lists is 337 The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government is 335 (195 for the Army, 039 for the Navy, 066 for the Air Force and 035 for the Naval Academy 10+2 (Executive Branch).
  3. The results of Medical Examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists.
  4. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional, subject to their submitting the requisite certificates in support of date of birth and educational qualifications etc., claimed by them, directly to the Additional Directorate General of Recruiting , Adjutant General’s Branch , Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army), West Block No. III, Wing-1, R. K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 , wherever this has not already been done and NOT to U.P.S.C.
  5. In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to the Army Headquarters at the address given above.
  6. These results will also be available on the UPSC Website at http:// www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available on the Website after 30 days from the date of declaration of final results.

INSTRUCTIONS :
1 Candidate must preserve Score Card till the process of admission in the colleges/Institutions is over.
2 Based on relative rankings, a number of students have been permitted for filling of choices, which does not guaranty seat allotment as the seat allotment would be purely on merit in respective categories and availability of seats in those categories in participating institutions.
3 Admission in a college/Institution is subject to verification of original certificates.
4 Detailed Admission Procedure and Information Brochure are available on the website www.ccb.nic.in. Candidate must follow this admission procedure and instructions available in the Information Brochure carefully.

Online counselling for admission to engineering colleges will start from June 8, the statement said.

Score Card indicating All India Rank and State Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE. Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General, OBC, SC/ST/PH category candidates) to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results.All India/State Rank and marks shall also be released on AIEEE website.

The results of AIEEE-2010 is likely to be declared on 30th May, 2010.The All India/State Rank to be called for Central counselling will be decided by Central Counselling Board which will be constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and decision of seat matrix etc. will be taken by Central Counselling Board. The required information will be displayed at apropriate time on website www.ccb.nic.in . The score cards will be dispatched to the candidates from 12.06.2010 to 27.06.2010 under Certificate of Posting (UPC).

The Board will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to loss of score card in transit.In case of non-receipt of the score card within the stipulated period candidate may apply for duplicate score card on payment of Rs. 50/- (plus postal charges of Rs. 30/- for outstation candidates) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi/New Delhi between 09.07.2010 to 31.08.2010.

CLAT result will be published through merit lists prepared on the basis of overall merit, preference-wise, gender-wise, state-wise and reservation wise. (SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

A candidate whose name figures in more than one list will be given a choice after the declaration of the CLAT- 2010 result to unconditionally and irrevocably choose from any of the lists through which they want to seek admission within a stipulated time.

If there is a tie between two or more candidates in the CLAT examination result the same shall be resolved in the following manner in the order provided :
    (1) Higher marks in section on Legal Aptitude/Awareness of the CLAT examination.
    (2) Elder will be preferred
    (3) Draw of lots

The basic principle of admission through CLAT-2010 is merit-cum-preference. When a candidate’s name appears in the merit list he/she will have to deposit a sum of Rs. 25000/-, non-refundable but adjustable in the fee to be payable at the time of admission, to confirm his/her intention/ seriousness to take the admission. Failure to deposit the above mentioned amount by the given date shall be treated as that the candidate is not interested in the admission and his/her claim to admission shall automatically cease to exist.The name of the bank, the account number and the date by which it is to be deposited will be displayed at the CLAT website.

In total 902747 candidates were registered for class X examination this year. This amounts for an increase of about 9.50 % candidates over that of last year.

HIGHLIGHTS

An increase of 0.44% in the over all percentage of candidates Eligible for Qualifying Certificate as compared to 2009 results.

Kanpur lad Akash Singh has topped the CBSE Class 12 examination 2010. He secured 97.8 percent marks in the CBSE class 12th examination 2010.

Akash, a student of Woodbine Gardenia School in Kanpur, secured 99 percent marks in Mathematics and Physical education while he get 98 percent in physics, chemistry and English. An elated Swati Pursty – one of the two toppers of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 exams – Friday said that it was because of her consistent hard work and dedication that she was able to perform so well in her exams. Pursty, a student of science, scored a whopping 490 out of 500 marks in the exam. Her aggregate score was 98 percent.

Important Points:

  • Improvement Exams takes place next year in march and results will be declared in may.Means you get a whole year to prepare for the improvement exam.
  • We can appear for improvement exam for any one or all of the passing subjects and not in the subjects in which they have been declared fail.
  • We have to submit a fee of Rs.200 per subject to the CBSE Board.
  • Forms will be released by CBSE from august till october and can be collected from School or CBSE Regional office.
  • Students may appear in the failing subject(Sixth subject) at the Compartment Examination to be held in July/August the same year.
  • Candidates who appear for improvement of performance will be issued only Statement of Marks reflecting the marks of the improvement examination.

(i) A candidate who has passed Secondary School Examination of the Board may reappear at the examination for improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the main examination in succeeding year only, provided he/she has not pursued higher studies in the mean time. He/she shall appear as a private candidate. Those reappearing in the whole examination, may appear as regular school candidates also.

(ii) A candidate appearing for improvement in subject(s) involving practical shall appear only in theory and previous practical marks shall be carried forward and accounted for.

(iii) A candidate appearing for improvement of performance shall be issued only Statement of Marks reflecting the marks obtained at the improvement examination in the subject(s).

A candidate who has passed Class 10th / 12th exams but would like to go for Improvement exam to improve performance in one or more subjects can reappear in the main examination in the succeeding year only. If you have passed class 10th / 12th this year, you have to wait for next year main examination.

For subjects involving practical work, in case the candidate has passed in practical at the main examination, he/she shall be allowed to appear in the theory part only and marks in practical obtained at the main examination shall be carried forward and accounted for.

In case a candidate has failed in practical he/she shall have to appear in theory and practical both irrespective of the fact that he/she has already cleared the theory examination.

Candidates who appear for improvement of performance will be issued only Statement of Marks reflecting the marks of the main examination as well as those of the improvement examination.CBSE Improvement Exams Paper 2009 12th Admit Card Procedure re-evaluation.

Improvement exam forms are available in july…they are the same form used for filling up re-compartment. Each form costs Rs.10, and are available at some Syndicate Banks in Delhi. There are two types of forms, one for “Delhi, DISSCE” and one for “All India…, AISSCE”….Delhi one is only for govt schools in Delhi…. All India ones are for private schools.

A candidate appearing for improvement of performance in one or more subjects can not appear for additional subject simultaneously.

Extension of last date for submission of forms and fee for the Candidates appearing under Compartment, Improvement and Additional subject categories – March 2010 Examinations.

It has been decided that the request of the candidates seeking permission for appearing in the ensuing Board’s Examinations – 2010 under Compartment, Improvement and Additional subject categories received upto 15/12/2009 may be accepted. The candidates who have already submitted their requests in this regard to Regional Offices may be informed telephonically or by phonogram/ telegram for submission of their application forms along with the requisite examination fee plus late fee. It may also please be noted that no extension of date is granted for Private Full Subject category candidates,

Individual requests on the subject matter received at the Headquarters from the candidates of respective Regional Offices are enclosed for necessary action at your end.

will commence on 17th July, 2010. Candidates will route their requests through the Head of institution. The Heads of Institutions will ensure that the list of candidates Eligible for Improvement of Performance reaches the respective Regional Office of the CBSE by 23rd of June, 2010.

Eligibility:

A candidate obtaining Grade E1 or E2 in any or all the five subjects (excluding 6th additional subject as per the scheme of studies) shall be eligible for improvement of performance in any or all the five subjects through subsequent five attempts.

In this system, student’s performance shall be assessed using conventional numerical marking mode, and the same shall then be converted into the grades on the basis of the pre-determined marks ranges. Accordingly, the “Statement of Subject wise Performance” issued by the Board for Class X 2010 examination shall have only grades. The schools affiliated to the Board have also been directed to introduce the above Grading Scheme in the evaluation of their students in class IX under the scheme of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) wef academic year 2009-10

1   Operational Modalities followed for implementation of grading scheme shall be :
   
1.1   The student’s performance shall be assessed using conventional method of numerical marking.
   
1.2   The ‘Grades’ shall be awarded to indicate the subject wise performance.
    1.3   Subject wise Grades and Grade Point (GP) shall be shown in the “Statement of Subject wise Performance” to be issued to all candidates.

The candidates shall also be provided CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies in the “Statement of Subject wise Performance”

An indicative equivalence of Grade Point and percentage of marks can be computed as follows :
Subject wise indicative percentage of marks =9.5x GP of the subject Overall indicative percentage of marks =9.5x CGPA

1.4  Over all and Subject-wise percentile score at the National level can also be provided to the schools on demand. The school may register for same at www.cbse.nic.in

1.5 The practice of declaring Compartment/ Fail shall be discontinued.

The overall result in the “Statement of Subject wise Performance” shall be shown as :

1.6 Those candidates who obtain the qualifying grades ( minimum grade D ) in all the subjects excluding 6th Additional subject as per Scheme of Studies shall be awarded a Qualifying Certificate. Those who get Qualifying Certificates shall be eligible for admission in higher classes. Those candidates who are not able to get minimum grades D in all the subjects excluding 6th Additional subject as per Scheme of Studies shall not be permitted for admission in higher classes.

1.7 Those candidates who have obtained grade E1 or E2 in one or more subjects excluding 6th Additional subject as per Scheme of Studies shall have to improve their performance in these subjects. Such candidates shall have option for improvement of their performance through subsequent five attempts.

For example, a candidate who appeared in Board’s examination in March 2010 can appear for Improvement of Performance in July 2010 (1st Chance), March 2011 (2nd Chance), July 2011 (3rd Chance), March 2012 (4th Chance) and July 2012 (5th Chance) only in subjects where he/she has got grade E1 or E2 till he/she gets grades (D and above) in all the subjects excluding 6th Additional subject as per Scheme of Studies and becomes eligible for award of Qualifying Certificate.
