3. (a) Appreciate any of the following miniature paintings included in your course of study, duly based on its : 
(1) Name of the painter,
(2) Medium & Technique, and
(3) Compositon :
(i) Marriage Procession of Dara Shukoh
 OR
(ii) Falcon on a Bird-Rest
(b) Why is the famous miniature-painting ‘Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and Amir Khusro’ of the Deccan School included in your course of study, appreciable in your opinion ? Substantiate your answer with suitable examples/reasons duly based on the aesthetic-parameters.

SECTION D

Instruction : Write the answer for the given question in about 200 words. 6x1=6

4. Identify any relevant painting of the Bengal School or Contemporary (modern) Indian graphic-print included in your course of study comprising of the following features and explain them in that artwork accordingly :
(a) The delineation of attenuated human figures with extra elongated limbs and tapering fingers, which reflect the influence of the Rajasthani, Pahari and Mughal miniatures. Hence, the emphasis on the European realism is terminated. 
OR
(b) The depiction of skeletal human and animal figures in the graphic-prints by Somnath Hore, is an expression of his sensitivity towards injustice to them and the life-long protest against it.

5. Evaluate the artistic achievements of any of the following painters with reference to his particular painting included in your course of study :
(i) Sahibdin (Rajasthani School)

(ii) Manaku (Pahari School)
