Limited Departmental Examination for the year – 2008-09/2009-10 Syllabus for the post of

1. Vice Principal

(a) Paper – I shall be to test language proficiency (Objective Type) both in English and Hindi carrying 100 marks and each part will be of 50 marks. However, the qualifying marks in each section shall be 15 and in aggregate 35, both section combined.

(b) Paper – II shall be to test the candidate’s knowledge on Pedagogy, teaching methodology and educational psychology, Instructional leadership, etc. This will also be objective type carrying 100 marks.

(c) Paper – III will cover the subject area on academic policies of KVS, Administrative and financial rules and procedure mainly relating to leave rules, conduct and disciplinary rules sanction of advances, purchase procedure, school Management and monitoring and innovations. The paper will be descriptive type carrying 150 marks.

2. PGT and TGT

(a) Paper – I shall be to test language proficiency (Objective Type) both in English and Hindi carrying 100 marks and each part will be of 50 marks. However, the qualifying marks in each section shall be 15 and in aggregate 35, both section combined.

(b) Paper – II shall be to test the candidate’s knowledge on Pedagogy, teaching methodology and educational psychology, Instructional leadership, etc. This will also be objective type carrying 100 marks.

(c) Paper – III will test the subject competence of the candidate for which they are being considered for promotion. The subject area shall cover the topics being taught in the classes which the teachers shall be expected to handle. The paper will be descriptive type carrying 150 marks. This paper besides testing the conceptual knowledge may also test the analytical skill of the teachers through small cases (casualties) and situational questions.

4. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

(i) Under subjective type questions on:
(a) Noting and drafting/Forms of communities
(b) Office management/procedure

(ii) Under objective type:
(a) General awareness/knowledge
(b) General English
(c) Quantitative aptitude
(d) Service Rules etc.

Note: As per Recruitment Rules in force the Limited Departmental Examination will be conducted for the post of TGT on Open Book Proficiency Fitness and whereas for all other posts on Closed Book Basis. The centers for the above examination would be Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
