The NSTSE shall be a comprehensive, independent examination that delivers challenging and high quality educational experience through a broad array of applied learning settings.

The NSTSE question papers are scientifically designed to test concepts underlying the curriculum in a interesting way.

NSTSE, aimed at providing valuable and detailed diagnostic reports for specific improvement and further development of school students. While NSTSE encourages students to reason critically and solve problems, it also helps to boost confidence and enable students to realize their optimum potential.

Eligibility:

Students of classes II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI (PCM & PCB), XII (PCM & PCB).

Examination Pattern:

There will be a separate question paper for each class. The medium of the exam will be in English only.

All questions are in objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.

In pursuance of MHRD’s directions and subsequent decision of the JEE Apex Board on JEE (Main) and (Advanced) held on 25.08.2012, the JEE (Main) Examination, 2013 (hitherto known as AIEEE - Paper I) for admissions to B.E./B.Tech courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will be held during April, 2013.

The JEE (Main) (Paper I of earlier AIEEE) for B.E./B.Tech will be held in two modes, viz offline and online (CBT). The offline examination for JEE (Main) will be held on 7th April, 2013 and the online examinations will be held thereafter in April, 2013.

Subject: Psychology

Aims

• To develop an understanding of human behavior: the nature of individuals and of members of social groups.
• To develop an understanding of the methods of research and study employed in Psychology.
• To develop an appreciation of the practical value of Psychology and its applications in daily life.

CLASS XI

There will be two papers in the subject.

Paper I - Theory: 3 hours ……70 marks
Paper II- Practical Work ……30 marks

PAPER - I  THEORY – ( 70 Marks )

• Part I (20 marks)  will consist of compulsory short answer questions relating to the fundamental aspects of the entire syllabus.

• Part II (50 marks) will consist of two sections, A and B. Candidates will be required to answer two out of three questions from Section A and three out of five questions from Section B. Each question in this part shall carry 10 marks.
