About SCRA: The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Special
Class Railway Apprentices examination (SCRA) to select candidates for the
Mechanical Department of the Indian Railways. This is a class-I service and
these officials constitute the top rung cadre of the mechanical wing of the
Indian Railways.

About UP Board:
The Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United
Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This
Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of
examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High
School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination.
Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two
examinations.

To grant recognition to aspiring school.
To prescribe courses and text books for High school and Intermediate

Setting parents' fears at ease, the CBSE has come out with a set of
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the doubts around the final exam students
will take at the end of class X.
In addition to providing teachers with a marking scheme to erase possible
disparities in evaluation, the CBSE will also undertake "moderation of marks
based on marks distribution of students and random verification of the
assessment done by the school," the note said.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has warned schools against the use
of rare or endangered wild animals in school laboratories. In a circular issued
recently, it has asked schools to surrender such specimens immediately to the
environment and forest department.
