Q. What should students do to ensure
that they attempt the entrance exam in the most efficient manner?
Ans: Firstly, students
must have a calm mind. Students get rattled when they’re confronted with
unexpected. This exam is full of surprises and one should learn to anticipate
and react according to the situation. Secondly, students should read and analyse
the paper carefully for the first five minutes before they begin to answer the
questions.
CBSE invites entries for online competition on tiger
conservation
In a bid to raise awareness about tiger conservation, the
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting an inter-school online
competition. The interested schools can enrol free of cost with the board by
April 29. They
can send the filled forms to SAEVUS Wildlife India, 253, Powai Plaza, Opposite
Pizza Hut, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Mumbai-400076.
The board has decided to conduct a three-tiered contest. In
round 1, a wildlife creative-writing contest will be organised in which students
will have to write an original story or poem in 500 words based on any one of
the video clips. A total of 10 video clips on tigers will be uploaded for
viewing on YouTube or the school's website.
CBSE has delighted students of classes IX and X with its decision to
introduce "open book examinations" in all subjects from the current academic
session. Students of classes XI and XII, however, are not too happy since CBSE
has chosen just four subjects a?? biology, economics, geography and a language
subject a?? under the open book system.
