CLASS XII HOME SCIENCE (064) MARKING SCHEME (2016- 2017)
DELHI LOCAL 69/1

I. The Marking Scheme carries only suggested value points for the answers. These are only guidelines and do not constitute the complete answer. The students can have their own expression and if the expression is correct, the marks be awarded accordingly

II. As per orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the candidates would now be permitted to obtain photocopy of the Answer book on request on payment of the prescribed fee. All examiners/ Head Examiners are once again reminded that they must ensure that evaluation is carried out strictly as per value points for each answer as given in the Marking Scheme.

III. All the Head Examiner/ Examiners are instructed that while evaluating the answer scripts, if the answer is found to be totally incorrect the (x) should be marked on the incorrect answer and awarded ‘0’ marks.

1 . Other than FSSAI, mention the standard marks you should check while buying a bag of wheat flour and a bottle of mango pickle ? [1]
i. Wheat flour – Ag mark
ii. Mango pickle – FPO [ ½ x2=1]

2 List any two facilities which are provided for the workers at the worksite , under MGNREGA . [1]

i. Shade
ii. First aid
iii. Drinking water ,
iv. Crèche

3 Inform the staff at the ICDS centre about the change in daily needs of protein for pregnant women. [1]

vi. Ensures facilities at worksite - shade, crèche, drinking water and first aid [1/2X 2 =1]

3. Inform the staff at the ICDS centre about the changes in daily needs of iron and calcium for pregnant women. [1]
i. Iron -35 mg or 21mg +14mg or +14mg

4. Draw a symbol for label which indicates the quality and purity of a woollen sweater. [1]

● The answers given in the marking scheme are SUGGESTIVE. Examiners are expected to award marks for all alternative correct Solutions/Answers conveying the similar meaning.
● All programming questions have to be answered with respect to Java Language only.
● In Java, ignore case sensitivity for identifiers (Variables / Functions)
● In SQL related questions :
A. Both ways of text/character entries should be acceptable. For example: “AMAR” and ‘amar’ both are acceptable.

The Syllabus in the subject of Mathematics has undergone changes from time to time in accordance with growth of the subject and emerging needs of the society. Senior Secondary stage is a launching stage from where the students go either for higher academic education in Mathematics or for professional courses like Engineering, Physical and Bioscience, Commerce or Computer Applications. The present revised syllabus has been designed in accordance with National Curriculum Framework 2005 and as per guidelines given in Focus Group on Teaching of Mathematics 2005 which is to meet the emerging needs of all categories of students. Motivating the topics from real life situations and other subject areas, greater emphasis has been laid on application of various concepts. Objectives The broad objectives of teaching Mathematics at senior school stage intend to help the students:
  • to acquire knowledge and critical understanding, particularly by way of motivation and visualization, of basic concepts, terms, principles, symbols and mastery of underlying processes and skills.
  • to feel the flow of reasons while proving a result or solving a problem.
  • to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to solve problems and wherever possible, by more than one method.
  • to develop positive attitude to think, analyze and articulate logically.
  • to develop interest in the subject by participating in related competitions.
  • to acquaint students with different aspects of Mathematics used in daily life.
  • to develop an interest in students to study Mathematics as a discipline.
  • to develop awareness of the need for national integration, protection of environment, observance of small family norms, removal of social barriers, elimination of gender biases.
  • to develop reverence and respect towards great Mathematicians for their contributions to the field of Mathematics.

१. (क) नीचे दिए गए अवतरण को प‹िढए और पूछे गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए : १०
भारतीय नागरिक राज्यव्यवस्था बैबीलोनिया के समान ही प्राचीन है और चीन के समान सर्वाधिक समय तक चली है । इसकी स्थापना रामदास द्वारा अपने ग्रंथ ‘दासबोध ङ्क (१.१०.२५) में निरूपित कथनानुसार ही हुई है कि ――मनुष्य स्वतंत्र है और बलपूर्वक उसका दमन नहीं किया जा सकता‖‖ । जब मानवों की ब‹डी संख्या साथ-साथ रहती है, तो कुछ नियमों और विनियमों की आवश्यकता होती है क्योंकि मानव स्वभाव ‘मत्स्य न्याय ङ्क की भाँति होता है, ―जहाँ ब‹डी मछली छोटी मछली को खा जाती है,‖ यह वस्तुओं के स्वभाव में ही होता है कि बलशाली दुर्बल का शोषण करता है । इसलिए प्रारंभिक समय से ही भारत में यह अनुभूति थी कि एक ऐसा ―समाज‖ होना ही चाहिए जो परस्पर सहमति से बने कुछ नियमों और विनियमों से संचालित होता हो । तथापि ऐसा ―समाज‖ केवल ढीले-ढाले तौर पर ही नियमित होता है ड्ढ यह रीति-रिवाजों तथा पद्धतियों से चलता है, विधियों (μकानूनों) से नहीं । इसलिए कुछ और कठोर संगठन की आवश्यकता होती है, ऐसी प्रणाली जिसे राजनीतिक चतन में ―राज्य‖ कहा जाता है, एक राजनीतिक प्रणाली जो विधि से प्राप्त स्वीकृति और आधार पर हो, ऐसी प्रणाली जो विधि द्वारा शासित हो ।

एक ―राज्य‖ के अनेक आयाम होते हैं  शासितों और शासकों के कर्तव्य और अधिकार, शासन के नियम जो शासितों और शासकों पर लागू होते हैं । इसी प्रकार किसी ―समाज‖ के भी अपने घटक होते हैं, विभिन्न जातियाँ या समुदायों और प्रकार्यात्मक इकाइयाँ जिन्हें हम वर्ण या जाति कह सकते हैं । किसी समाज की संरचनात्मक इकाइयाँ भी होती हैं जैसे परिवार, संस्थाएँ जैसे विवाह और रीति-रिवाज तथा पद्धतियाँ जैसे कि उत्तराधिकार, वैवाहिक कर्मकांड, शोक करने के रिवाज और अंत में व्यक्ति और समाज के जीवन का एक ढाँचा जैसे आश्रम व्यवस्था qहदू समाज में किसी व्यक्ति के जीवन में रखी गई है । भारतीय समाज लगातार अस्तित्व में रहने वाला सबसे प्राचीन समाज है जिसमें वही लंबे, निरंतर और उत्तरोत्तर ब‹ढने वाली सामाजिक प्रणालियाँ हैं जिन्हें समाजशास्त्रीय ग्रंथों के द्वारा कूटबद्ध किया है । उन ग्रंथों को ―धर्मसूत्र‖, ―धर्मशास्त्र‖ और ―निबंध‖ कहा जाता है ।
